Holiday Rambler, a division of Monaco Coach Corp., was founded in 1953. They are one of the oldest names in the RV industry, manufacturing a broad line of recreational vehicles. A respected name in the industry for decades, they are considered a “pioneer” in the industry.

When they got their start over 50 years ago, Holiday Rambler became known as a manufacturer of quality travel trailers, bringing a new level of quality to RV’s. After having been in production for 8 years, this high quality RV manufacturer introduced aluminum body framing, bringing a new, lighter weight, and more durable RV’s. Again, considered a pioneer in the industry for this refinement, this Alumaframe design became the standard in production of recreational vehicles, and has remained as such for over 40 years.
Holiday Rambler has also pioneered other standards, such as the built in refrigerator, on-board holding tanks for water and waste, and aerodynamic corners. Having the intuition of being able to design, build, and sustain these ground-breaking innovative standards, and thus produce a high quality line of recreational vehicles, they have become a trusted name in RVing.
After having perfected these upgrades and continuing to build quality RV’s, Holiday Rambler moved from only producing towables into the competitive market of building motor homes, all the while perfecting on the product that was once their mainstay. Bringing the intuitive engineering to the motor home market, they were the first to build motor homes with tag axles, and also introduced their first model to incorporate a kitchen slide-out, which revolutionized engineering and designing RV interiors.

In 1996, Monaco Coach Corporation purchased Holiday Rambler from Harley Davidson, which enabled Monaco to make a name for themselves in the industry as a name for quality towables and motor homes.
Their current line includes models in the towables, fifth wheels, Class C and Class A motor homes. A nice complement to Monaco’s high end diesel motor homes, HR affords the consumer a high-quality rig without the high price tag associated with its upper level counterparts. Considered a “stepping stone” in RV ownership, they manufacture a broad line of reasonably priced recreational vehicles, from the first owner’s new RV up to and including the seasoned enthusiast’s pride and joy.
Based in Wakarusa, Indiana, HR is “American made” with pride. Including such luxuries as living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, baths and separate bedrooms (depending on the model), appliances and electronic equipment, Holiday Rambler is a name you can trust. To see for yourself, feel free to contact Holiday Rambler and schedule a tour of their state-of-the-art, high-tech facility and see where it all begins. Holiday Rambler invites you to “become a part of the legend” by touring either of their facilities in Indiana or Oregon. Plant tours typically take from 1-1 ½ hours, where you will be able to walk the floors.
The Holiday Rambler Indiana facility in Wakarusa produces the Imperial, Scepter, Endeavor, Ambassador, Vacationer and Atlantis units, with tours available at 10am and 2pm Monday-Friday. The Holiday Rambler facility in Elkhart produces the Presidential, Alumascape, Savoy and Next Level units, with available tours also beginning at 10am and 2pm Monday-Friday. If you’re a west-coaster, feel free to schedule a tour of the Oregon facility, located in Coburg (just north of Eugene). Tours at this facility will feature production of the Admiral, Neptune and Navigator units. Tours there are also available beginning at 10am and again at 2pm Monday-Friday.
