Class C Motorhomes Offers a Fun Alternative to Those Big RVs On The Road Today

Class C motorhomes are commonly referred to as mini-rvs. This model of rv is built with a chassis that is like an automobile. This model of rv can come in a range of size from 20 to over 40 feet, with a variety of amenities. Some amenities are similar to the Class A rvs, but on a smaller scale. One of the most distinctive characteristics of Class C motorhomes is the bunk that is found over the cab of the vehicle. The cab of this model of RV is similar to a pick up truck.

Class C motorhomes come equipped with a kitchen, including a refrigerator, sink, oven and sometimes a microwave. This model of rv also has a bathroom, with a toilet, sink, and a tub/shower. Obviously the larger the recreational vehicles, the heavier the weight. Class C motorhomes have the option for a slide out feature, which, with the touch of a button, can add up to an additional 3 ½ feet to the width of the rig. The slide out increases the floor space inside the recreational vehicles making for more comfort and space for the larger group or family traveling. Slideouts can only be extended while the recreational vehicles is parked. This is especially handy when traveling for long periods of time, as more interior room makes for a more comfortable experience.

Similar to the A’s, Class C motorhomes have the ability to tow a boat or small vehicle, or a trailer with ATV’s, snowmobiles, motorcycles, or other toys. Having the ability to tow a small vehicle is nice when traveling to a destination where you may stay for a while, as unhooking the recreational vehicles from the water, electric and sewer hookups is not convenient when needing to travel to the corner market for groceries or wanting to spend the day sightseeing. Having a small vehicle in tow allows you to have the ability to easily leave your campsite for the day without having to re-pack the rig.

Class C motorhomes make this possible, with many options that can rival the most luxurious of homes, making full time RV’ing very possible.
